Large & beautifully decorated Nigerian Calabar brass dish

In good condition with some wear & tear – numerous dents & some holes in the thin brass visible

NB These brass chargers were made in Birmingham and exported to Nigeria where they were traded & decorated by local artisans. These large brass dishes were regarded as items of prestige & were displayed to show great wealth or given to important dignitaries
